Arisaig SUP Adventure Course Information
Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) along the coast at Arisaig is a must-do activity for anyone seeking a thrilling outdoor adventure in Scotland. Located on the west coast of the Highlands, Arisaig is known for its breathtaking natural scenery, crystal-clear waters, and abundant wildlife. SUP is the perfect way to explore this stunning area, providing a unique and unforgettable experience that’s suitable for all skill levels.
As you paddle along the coast of Arisaig, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the rugged coastline, hidden bays, and picturesque islands. You’ll have the chance to explore inlets and spot a range of marine life, including dolphins, seals, and basking sharks (no guarantees but it is highly likely you will at the very least see seals). With the guidance of an experienced instructor, you’ll feel confident and comfortable on the water, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced paddler.
SUP at Arisaig is also an excellent way to stay active and enjoy the outdoors. You’ll have the chance to paddle at your own pace, enjoying the scenery and wildlife as you go. And with a range of activities on offer, including sea kayaking, wildlife tours, and island hopping, you can make the most of your time in this stunning natural location.
If you’re ready for a full day of adventure and excitement on the Scottish coast, a stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) day at Arisaig is the perfect choice. Here’s an itinerary for a full-day journey that begins at 10 am and finishes at 3 pm.
10:00 am – Arrival and safety briefing – Your adventure begins at the designated meeting point, where you’ll meet your guide and fellow adventurers. After introductions, you’ll receive a safety briefing and a quick introduction to paddleboarding, covering techniques and safety precautions.
Setting out onto the water – Once you’re comfortable with the equipment, you’ll set out onto the calm (hopefully) and clear waters of Arisaig. You’ll paddle along the shoreline, exploring hidden bays and inlets, and taking in the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding hills and islands.
On Route, you’ll stop for a well-deserved refreshment break either on a beach or maybe a secluded island. You’ll have the chance to rest, take photos, or even enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool waters of the coast.
Continuing the journey after your break, you’ll continue your journey along the shoreline, exploring more of the coast’s hidden gems and searching for any signs of wildlife.
Lunch – As the midday sun beats down (well – we can always hope – but it is Scotland!), you’ll find a perfect spot to stop and enjoy lunch. You’ll get the chance to refuel while taking in the stunning surroundings of the coast and admiring the wildlife around us.
SUP Skills and Fun Games will be incorporated throughout the day (if you wish); you’ll have the chance to practice your SUP skills, working on your balance and coordination as you navigate the waters. Your guide will also lead some fun and engaging games to add an extra element of excitement to the journey.
3:00 pm – Return to the Meeting Point – As the journey comes to an end, you’ll return to the designated meeting point at 3 pm, feeling exhilarated and invigorated by the experience. Whether you’ve spotted wildlife or not, the opportunity to paddleboard on the breathtaking Scottish coast of Arisaig is an experience that will stay with you forever.
